Legal Matter Policy on Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds:

If you have ordered an item and are not satisfied with it when you receive it, Legal Matter will exchange your item for a new one, or refund your money, under the following terms and conditions:

Pre-Return Customer Service Contact: Before returning an item, in order to ensure prompt processing, you should contact customer service by telephone (732-777-6033) or email (storemanager@rutgerslawstore.com).

Return Period: Your item must be returned within ten(10) calendar days of original receipt of the item.

Refund or Exchange Preference: When returning an item, you should specify whether you prefer a replacement item (exchange) or a refund, however Legal Matter reserves final determination as to which will be given. If a sufficient replacement item is not available, a refund will be the only available solution.

Damage or Defect: If an item that is delivered to you is defective or damaged you must report that damage to us within ten(10) calendar days from receipt of the delivery.

Other Customer Options: In the alternative to returning an item, customers may opt to contact customer service for recommendations as to other return options that may be available.

Information Needed: Information contained on your receipt or the invoice is necessary to process any return or refund. Please have the invoice ready when you call or e-mail customer service. Please also enclose a copy of these documents in your return shipment.

Expiration of Return Period: Items returned after ten(10) calendar days of receipt by the customer are not eligible for exchange nor refund. You should still contact customer service because other arrangements may be possible on a case-by-case basis.

Shipping Charges for Returned Items: Shipping and return shipping charges are not refundable.

Manner and Amount of Refund: If a refund is issued, it will be processed when the item being returned has been received. Refunds will be made by crediting the original method of payment in the amount originally paid minus shipping and handling charges, any applicable taxes, and credit card processing fees.

Replacement Items: If a replacement item is shipped, it will be sent only once the original item is received. The replacement item will be reasonably similar to the original item and the cost to ship the replacement item will be paid by Legal Matter.

Legal Matter Cancellation Policy:

Customers may cancel their order by contacting customer service within twenty-four(24) hours of the time that the order was place on the website. Orders cannot be cancelled after this time period. A full refund, including shipping costs, but not including credit card processing fees will be given by crediting the original method of payment.

Legal Matter Delivery/Shipping Policy:

Legal Matter will, by default, use the United Parcel Service (UPS) to ship all items. Products will ship within 3-5 business days. Shipping costs will be estimated via the website at the time of purchase and charged directly to the customer in addition to a small handling fee. Legal Matter will only ship items to addresses within the United States and deliveries cannot be sent to P.O. boxes. For other shipping concerns, customers should contact customer service.

Legal Matter Privacy Policy:

The privacy of our customers is of extreme importance to Legal Matter. We will collect certain data, such as name, email address, shipping and billing addresses, telephone number, and payment information, in order to process orders. Legal Matter will keep and store this information securely and only for a reasonable time period, given our business purposes. This information will be used only in connection with our business purpose. We will not collect any personal information from you that you do not volunteer, and we are the sole owner of all information collected on the website.

Customer data will only be shared with members of the Student Bar Association at Rutgers School of Law, Newark and employees of All Color, LLC, the company responsible for website orders. Legal Matter will neither give, sell, nor rent customer information to any outside entity. While individual customer information is protected as outlined above, we reserve the right to use aggregated anonymous data about our users as a group for any business purpose, such as analyzing usage trends.

Legal Matter may change this Privacy Policy at any time. Any change to our Privacy Policy will be made by first notifying all persons about whom we retain personal information and allowing a reasonable time period for comment and opting out.

All customers should be aware that Legal Matter will comply with lawful requests by law enforcement or judicial proceedings to disclose personal information about a customer.

Any customer may request further information about what data is kept on their account, may request changes to that information, and may request that personally identifiable data is erased from our records by contacting customer service.
